Name an event — a subathon, a charity night, a season — and it contains its own rules, rewards and leaderboards. One event is active at a time, so last month’s numbers never leak into this one.

No. Channel points are one of eleven triggers. Bits, gifted subs, new subs, resubs, follows, raids, chat phrases, charity donations and tips all work without a single custom reward existing.
No. Our plan names are just plan names — they have no relation to your Twitch broadcaster type. Anyone can buy any plan. What Twitch itself gates is bits and subscriptions, and that is between you and Twitch.
By default a rule fires on a single amount — one cheer of 500 bits. In cumulative mode it fires on a running total for that viewer across the whole event, so ten cheers of 50 also get there.
Yes. Rules are stacked on an event and evaluated independently, so one cheer can clear a 100-bit rule and a 500-bit rule at once. Cap either with a total or per-viewer limit.
You or your mods, in Pending Rewards. A reward moves pending → claimed → completed, so nothing you promised on stream quietly disappears.
An event starts collecting the moment you enable it, whatever its start date says — so it can hold rows from before the window you meant. There is a repair for that: it previews what falls outside, then detaches those rows rather than deleting them, and it never invents a count.
